House Extension - North Haven

This was a great local job for us in North Haven on the Le Fevre Peninsula. Our client approached us with their full set of architectural/engineered drawings that had been approved by Port Adelaide Enfield council.

The client was taking on the project as an owner builder. Prior to submitting a quote we were asked to supply evidence of the applicable licenses and insurances which was no worries.

This job was unique in the fact that the structure of the proposed extension was a conventional shed with linings throughout. . We worked with the client throughout the project from quoting through to completion in order to ensure they were receiving the best possible outcome.

Due to restrictions with access, the scope of works had to be staged to ensure we could get materials into the site before the construction was completed and access was closed off.

We began by preparing the pad and taking spoil to Resource Co at Wingfield. The shed builder from Alpha Industries then came in and constructed the shed.

We came back to site once the structure had been built and hand dug the internal perimeter footing. We then installed plastic forticon and mesh reinforcing provided by Adamis Sand and Metal. We placed our formwork around the edge of the shed and wet areas within the extension.

Adbri Concrete provided the concrete on pour day. There was tight access to the site so we wheelbarrowed the concrete in through the carport taking extra care to ensure the site was left neat and tidy and no damage was done to the clients home. There were some small variations to the job which included installing concrete for rainwater tanks.

The client was thrilled with the outcome, as were we!
